White+ – Lu Ser/43 (Falling Down)

Two contrasting pieces of electronica from the Chinese act White +. Lu Ser is a danceable, retro sounding track driven by progressive House style drum beats and rhythms. It’s punctuated by hazy, vague, vocal samples.

The month’s second single 43 (Falling Down) has a North African vibe with chanting vocals. It reminds me of the stuff Transglobal Underground used to (or still) do? I am a bit of a sucker for “ethnic”, for the want of a better word, influenced tunes of the laid back variety and this track is no exception. A fine brace of diverse electronica to start and end the evening, well early morning, with.

Both songs are out via Maybe Mars.
