This weeks pack of three features three hot off the press, well Bandcamp feed, new singles.
Hadda Be – Mercurial
Mercurial is the first we have heard from the London/Brighton based Hadda Be since the release of their Another Life long player in April last year. Blending alt rock and indiepop thanks to the strong, plucky guitars and Amber Oliver’s delightful vocals Mercurial is a just tonic for the dark and gloomy skylines of London Town today.
Roller Derby – Say How Come
The new single the Hamburg indie/dreampop band Roller Derby is a sullen and morose affair. The standout vocals are brooding whilst musically it’s somewhat surly but the song still manages to catch the listeners attention, ingraining itself somewhat successfully too.
Life on Venus – Stranger Times
The new single from the Moscow based dreampop/shoegazing band Life On Venus features quite an apt title and you can interpret the lyrics in many ways. Repetitive words over swirling guitars and accompanying percussion makes the song a pretty effective one. The band’s third album Homewards should follow at some point.
