Another slice of miserabilism from the London based Lisboa exile Natasha Simões. It’s a theme she has stuck too, carrying on over from July’s excellent Softly single. Musically is a gentle lo-fi affair but as Simões sings “yeah I’d like to see you cry, yeah I’d like to see you die” you realise this is not your run of the mill sunny dreampop number. Not sure why but I visualise the last minute of the track being the perfect sound for a music box in an alternative, darker plane.
