The Photocopies – Sha La La La La La La (Sha La La La La La)

Three short bursts of lo-fi C86 inspired tweepop can be found on the latest single from Michigan’s The Photocopies, previously known as Aniseed Twist.

Sha La La La La La La (Sha La La La La La) sounds a bit like The Dickies if they recorded for the Subway Organisation whilst Radio City is a slice of fuzzy pop with entertaining repeated words – a twee-pop Transmission if you like? Final track Theme from Aniseed Twist is a distorted surf-pop ode to their former name. Check out their two previous releases too because like this three tracker they are both entertaining and fun.
