Planet Loser – Hold My Breath
The latest single from Planet Loser is a delectable slice of dreamy indie-pop with glistening guitars, poignant words and another fine vocal performance from Amber Lewis. It’s their sixth single release of the year so I am hoping that they are all part of a bigger picture. If not I have a ready-made “greatest hits” selection on standby.
Romero – Troublemaker
Romero’s Honey is a track that is sitting firmly in my favourites of 2020. Follow up Troublemaker is a rockin’ garage-punk effort with guitars that swagger and vocals that you want to join in with. All digital sale proceeds go to Pay The Rent so what are you waiting for and get buying and jiving!
Flower Maze – Divided Shades
Divided Shades is the debut track from California’s Flower Maze. It’s a lo-fi bedroom indiepop track with plenty of jangles and hooks and it may kid you that it is an instrumental track at first. But listen carefully and you will catch an echo of the barely breathing vocal style swirl in and out amongst the programming. It’s an interesting track that makes me want to hear some more.
