Wittering from an old indie kid whether it's c86, indiepop, jangle pop, post-punk, coldwave, shoegaze or dreampop!
Following on from last years debut album Damage released on French Label Unknown Pleasures Records Kill Shelter, aka Edinburgh based Pete Burns, has now released two tracks lifted from said album on Dutch label Burning World Records as a double-sided 7″ single.
Both tracks are collaborations. In Decay features American outfit Delphine Coma whilst Bodies feature Australians Buzz Kull. These two songs, according to the label, explore death from different perspectives. But, that’s not all they have in common. Both are gloomy affairs mixing gothic rock and darkwave to great effect. The scowling vocals especially so. If, depressingly dark music is your thing, this should be right up your street. If, it isn’t, then give it a go. You may be digging out the album sooner than you think!
