Well this is an enjoyable romp by Canadian band Klackers on their self titled debut. There are nine songs here which also includes covers of tracks by The Adicts and Bratmobile. Musically it’s garage rock with punk influences – think early Detroit Cobras with original material – whilst the vocals are a mix of shouty garage and tinged with the blues. The whole EP (album?) is loud, brassy, sarky, angry or fun but most important of all it’s a blast.
Highlights are Womb Buddy (especially the young child singing along at the end), Ride or Die and closer No Means No. It’s available on cassette or digital formats from here.
