No Halloween nonsense from me today. Instead here are the first two releases (or both sides of just one?) from Argentinian band Britya.
Regardless whether it’s just the one release or two all the tracks here encompass many of the ingredients that make up indiepop with twee, dream pop, noise pop and fuzzy guitar pop alongside healthy does of punk and riot grrrl. It’s on the latter, particularly Tiempo, that they shine to these ears and it’s further evidenced on the shouty Todo Me Enamora. It’s all good fun and Briya provide one of the best debut releases I have heard for a few months now.
