TV Crime – Man In The Pub

Nottingham glam punks TV Crime release their debut long player Metal Town in September. It includes their previous singles including the brilliant debut Hooligans. Man In The Pub is the first new song to be previewed and it’s packed to the rafters with punk attitude and pub rock riffs. Play loud and party like it’s 1977. Metal Town is available on vinyl from Berlin’s Alien Snatch! or digitally from the band. Continue reading TV Crime – Man In The Pub

August Round Up #3

Some Gorgeous Accident – Heaven Sent Heaven Sent certainly isn’t the sound of a band heading towards it’s final destination as their Facebook page indicates but it looks like it’s the end of the road for a band who have been around in one guise or another since 2006/07. These songs are a collection of songs that were “lying about”. This Day and the title track are dreamy and blissful. Available via Melotron Recordings. Records I Like Top 10 2016

I have been listening to plenty of punk, coldwave, indie-pop, riot grrrl, queercore, garage and post-punk but I think this selection is a fair reflection of my listening habits these past 12 months. Tracks missing the cut include the likes of Underworld, Joanna Gruesome, The Radio Dept., The Legends, Earth Girls,The Liminanas, Red Sleeping Beauty, Massive Attack, Jessica & The Fletchers, Vital Idles, Useless Youth, E’spaniel, Nice Try, Hate Week, Primetime, Tape Waves, The Wolfhounds, Merchandise, Slam, Blind Delon, Lad’s Mags, … Continue reading Records I Like Top 10 2016

TV Crime – Hooligans

Hooligans is one hell a stomper of a tune that has it’s roots deep down in punk, pub rock and power pop alongside it’s terrace chants. If it doesn’t make you pogo, mosh or whatever else you do then there really is no hope. Most excellent. Hooligans is out now on 7″ vinyl or digitally via Static Shock Records. Facebook Continue reading TV Crime – Hooligans
