I was part of Lostmusic when we released French band The Wendy Darlings début release, the We Come With Friendly Purposes EP back in 2009. Tyrannosaurus Dead – Greatest Hits

Tyrannosaurus Dead have a compilation of their recordings thus far out now on Oddbox Records. It covers their early self-released effort and cassette releases on the Reeks of Effort label to last years tracks on Bleeding Gold and Oddbox themselves. The Wolfhounds – Anthem

The second post of 2014, like the first, features a release on Oddbox Records. This time it’s the third 7″ single in a year for the label from C86 survivors The Wolfhounds. It’s a double A side featuring Anthem and Middle Aged Freak. Only the former is available for streaming at present and whilst not as catchy as the previous two singles the jagged guitars, Dave Callahan’s deadpan vocals and the crescendo of noise means it soon grows on you pretty sharpish. Oddbox Records have released a 15 track compilation covering a number of their releases in 2013 including tracks that appeared on sold out Crackle! Fuzz! Pop! singles club and Volume 1. of The 100 Club Series of 7″ singles. Wolfhounds – Divide and Fall

The Wofhounds, a band who featured on the C86 tape, release their second 7″ of the year on Odd Box Records at the beginning of next month. It’s also the follow up to Cheer Up which was on the same label and the limited edition 001 EP which was released on German label Vollwert Records back in June. I have yet to see them since they reformed a few years ago but it’s on my to do list especially as all year they have sounded like they have never gone away!
