Three tracks I discovered via a spree on Youtube.
Forty Winks – Liadfh
Noisy and experimental stuff from this US based band. It’s taken from the recently released Love Is a Dog From Hell EP. Fuzzy and distorted guitars with hushed ethereal female vocals. What’s not to like? And check out the second track Commie Boyfriend too. It’s the star of the show.
Get it on cassette and digital formats from here or on CD via Crafted Sounds.
Slowwves – Evangeline
Featuring fellow Thai’s Death Of Heather Evangeline is a Cocteau Twins inspired shoegazing track from both it’s title and sound. Noisy but fragile. It’s taken from the bands brand new album Perfect Evasion which can be obtained from here.
Subsonic Eye – Aku Cemas
Aku Cemas is a sparkling and catchy indiepop/dreampop track on which the band sing in both Malay and English. It’s taken from the Singaporean band’s forthcoming fifth album titled Singapore Dreaming which is out June 11 2025 in a range of formats via Oregon’s Topshelf Records.
