If you read the comments at my previous post it’s mystery solved. Joel Carr is in fact the nom de plume of Caleb Carr, ex English Summer & Arts & Letters. Foulness Island is his solo project whilst he is a member of The Boltons – puts away deer stalker and magnifying class.

Now we have two new tracks from both to celebrate the case cracking! Lost Highway from Foulness Island is a slab of jangling melancholy, whilst The Boltons Saviors & Marauders takes the retro Creation Records sound Carr is so fond of and updates it most wonderfully.

Regardless of the name of the project he is releasing music under, the consistency and quality remains the same. Sublime.
