The BV’s have released their first new track in four years. Warp is a limited 12″ vinyl edition release which will be out via the German label Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten next month. The EP features three tracks, with the band making the title track available as a taster. And what a taster it is too, being an epic 8-minute-long track that mixes post-punk, indiepop and Krautrock to wonderful effect.
The label write that “Josh, Fred, Matt and Hannes listened to a lot of New Order and The Cure 12” Singles from the 1980s and to The Field Mice records of their later period. They combine all these influences in their fantastic new song, Warp“. I certainly hear those tell tale Cure sounding guitars amongst hints of Seefeel, Spaceman Three with a distinct indiepop vocal style completing the mix. Very good indeed!
