Cruush – Stick In The Mud

Manchester’s Cruush have been a round for a couple of years now, although Stick In The Mud is the first material I have heard from them. It’s female fronted shoegaze erring on the noisier alt-rock side of things. They have some good tracks in their arsenal too, and last September’s False Start is certainly worth a listen.

High Sunn – Heavenly Petticoat

Heavenly Petticoat is a bedroom pop track encompassing delightful hooks and addictive vocals. Those in the background certainly catch my ear. The band is the project of Justin Cheromiah, who describes it as “dreamo pop indie”. I haven’t paid that much attention to High Sunn like I have with other Spirit Goth artists but, after hearing this, that may well change! It’s out now on Spirit Goth Records.

The Age of Colored Lizards – It’s Not the Way It Used to Be

More fuzzy goodness from the band’s forthcoming fourth album, which is now scheduled for next year. At the rate the band are releasing singles from it, we will have it all nicely compiled by then! Mind you blink, and the single will be gone from Bandcamp.
