Silver Biplanes – Songs That Don’t Exist

Silver Biplanes, who consist of married couple Tim Vass (Razorcuts, Red Chair Fadeaway) and Vanessa Vass (The Melons), will be releasing their debut album on the London based tongue twisting label Where It’s At Is Where You Are (WIAIWYA) next year.

The label describes the first single to be taken from said album Songs That Don’t Exist as “sounding like a collision between early Cabaret Voltaire and The Shop Assistants” which should get anyone to stand up and take notice even before the needle drops. Whilst the description is apt it also sounds pretty much like what Girl One and The Grease Guns were doing a couple of years back. It’s a cracking single with indiepop style vocals sung over a crashing industrial inspired beat with some fine fuzzy guitar for company. As they say, play loud!
