I must be getting mellow in my old age because Triste Pop by Mexican dreampop band Lasitud is a pretty little things. Musically it flutters from the delicate to indulgent guitar, which it has to be said, are used correctly here. The joint male/female vocals work well in unison although I would like to have heard more of Paola Gavilla’s voice but that’s a minor gripe as they sing about seizing the day. And the heart! Lovely retro influenced video too. I was expecting it to turn into the Spanish speaking version of Grease at any moment. Definitely one that I want…… in my collection!
