Los Angeles based Soft Blue Shimmer return with their first new track since November 2020’s Heaven Inches Away long player. Whilst things have moved on since then, thankfully the band’s sound remains constant and Prism of Feeling is a welcome return. The fusion of noise pop and shoegaze remains and like previous some of their material it contains ethereal undertones – it’s very Lush-like towards the fade out at the end. The vocals ride those waves quite nicely whilst the words are reflective and despondent. The band’s second album, Love Lives in the Body, follows in November.
