The new single from Sydney’s All Sparks Burn Out sounds a bit like Dead Can Dance if they did shoegaze. That is down thanks to the vocals of Relay Tapes Jade Tyers who makes a guest appearance.

Musically there are hints of the traditional shoegaze sound with the guitars sounding inconsequential at times but it’s Tyer’s lovely ethereal voice that joins all the pieces together. It’s backed with a harsh, nosier version. The fact that’s its called the Static Alt Mix should tell you all you need to know but I prefer the layers of noise to be honest as they highlight Tyers’ vocals over the harshness that said noise brings. Most good.
