The new EP from Russian Shoegazers Life On Venus is a dark, foreboding affair. However, rather than leave you brooding, it’s a positive listen. Haunting guitars create an envelope around your senses whilst indistinct, vague vocals create a misty vision throughout whilst you take it all in – none more so on Silver Screen. The most upbeat they sound is on their excellent cover of Girl, originally by Fawns Of Love.
A new album Odes To The Void follows later this year on Shelflife Records. But for now pick this release up (digital only) from either the band or the label.
