This is a mix for all those who may be missing the Coldwave, Darkwave, Post-Punk, Goth-Rock and Minimal Synth playlists I used to make. Okay – don’t all rush forward!
Anyway here is a selection of Post-Punk tunes from the past couple of months readymade for the goth/coldwave dance floors.
Tracklisting:
Handful Of Snowdrops – Another Lonely Sunday (Longest Day Variant)
Extended version of the single lifted from last year’s excellent Noir longplayer.
Black Plastic – Savage (ACTORS Remix)
Excellent remix of Black Plastic’s previous single Savage by Actors which can be found on the remix EP Stop The World.
Push Button Press – Mire and the Sea
Standout track (for me!) from the new EP Spectacle 1.
Funeral Advantage – Black House
My review of this track can be found here.
Boy Harsher – Fate
One of the highlights from the recent Careful long player.
Instant Lake – Death To Slavery (Marcelo PYM Gallo Remix)
Remix of the current single which is out now on Wave Records.
Jesus Lives In Vegas – A Way With You
Another debut single (?) this time from French Coldwave act Jesus Lives In Vegas.
Vorsicht Vorsicht – Последняя весна (Last Spring)
Taken from the self titled debut EP which is out now on Discosomething Records.
Leathers – Phantom Heart
I previously wrote that Leathers is the project of Shannon Hemmett who is also a member of Canadian post-punk band Actors. Phantom Heart mixes synth pop and dark wave to great effect.
Cold Cave – Promised Land
The latest track from the Darkwave veterans.
Warsaw Pact – Midnight Cure (Alternate Mix)
I reviewed this one here.
Ultraviolence – No
Track taken from the Indonesian band’s debut album References out now on Gerpfast Records.
Lindustria – No More
Taken from the self titled debut EP from Italian band Lindustria who, in describing themselves, say If you ever wanted to know what Joy Division sounds like in a Frankie Knuckles Remix, here’s your chance!
Qui Vivra Verra – The Nothing
The debut single from Canadian based Qui Vivra Verra.
Фирма-однодневка – Ты знаешь (One Day Firm – You Know)
I reviewed this single here.
A follow-up mix, which is more guitar orientated, is in the works!
