The timeless sounding C86 veterans The Wolfhounds have announced details of a new album and their first since 2016’s excellent Untied Kingdom or (How to Come to Terms With Your Culture). Titled Electric Music it will be released via A Turntable Friend Records on July 3rd 2020. The band have also released a precursor to the album in the shape of Can’t See The Light. The Wolfhounds – Now I’m A Killer

Now I’m A Killer is taken from The Wolfhound’s new album Untied Kingdom (…or how to come to terms with your culture) that will be released on Oddbox Records in October. It will be their first album comprising of entirely new music for over twenty five years. The Wolfhounds – Anthem

The second post of 2014, like the first, features a release on Oddbox Records. This time it’s the third 7″ single in a year for the label from C86 survivors The Wolfhounds. It’s a double A side featuring Anthem and Middle Aged Freak. Only the former is available for streaming at present and whilst not as catchy as the previous two singles the jagged guitars, Dave Callahan’s deadpan vocals and the crescendo of noise means it soon grows on you pretty sharpish. Wolfhounds – Divide and Fall

The Wofhounds, a band who featured on the C86 tape, release their second 7″ of the year on Odd Box Records at the beginning of next month. It’s also the follow up to Cheer Up which was on the same label and the limited edition 001 EP which was released on German label Vollwert Records back in June. I have yet to see them since they reformed a few years ago but it’s on my to do list especially as all year they have sounded like they have never gone away!
