Before I have had even time to blink I have racked almost a century of emails in my bandcamp folder. Time to wade through some of those tracks that are piling up! Leathers – Phantom Heart Leathers is the project of Shannon Hemmett who is also a member of Canadian post-punk band Actors. Phantom Heart mixes synth pop and dark wave to great effect. The Jasmine Minks are a band that certainly needs no introduction to people of a certain age. Not only were they the first signing to Creation Records they have also been releasing high quality indiepop since 1984 including this, their latest single. Ten Thousand Tears is a finely crafted song that gets you thinking thanks to it’s melancholic vocals and wistful guitars. It’s officially released on the 8th April but orders for the 7″ can be placed here. All monies raised from the single will be donated to fighting Motor Neurone Disease.
