Sunday Records have released a second volume of songs as “a (another!) special treat for our fans during the coronavirus isolation”. Once again the compilation features tracks collated from acts on the labels roster. The Proctors open with Only Stupid, a track that started life in the early 1990’s before Japanese Heart Software give us For Another Day which originally appeared on last years Lonely Hearts EP. LIPS – In Summer

Falmouth’s Lips produce another fine moment on the harmonious In Summer. The rhythmical guitars and the vocals of Rachel Anstis, which range from the evangelical to the haunting, once again seals the deal. They really have aquired the knack of making classy jangling, alterantive pop tunes in a short space of time and if they keep this up these lips, excuse the pun, are never going to get chapped! Sunday Records have compiled the two singles released by the Falmouth based band Lips last year alongside three new tracks for the band’s forthcoming self titled EP. Apartment is a searing dream pop song that soars above and beyond thanks to the vibrating guitars and graceful vocals of singer Rachel Anstis. If you didn’t get it last year get it pronto.
