My main worry with Do What You Want To, It’s What You Should Do was that it would be way too over produced /polished (by Bernard Butler) but thankfully that’s not the case despite their previous fuzzy guitar sound being muted somewhat. Rachel Kenedy’s vocals are as ethereal as ever and on parts send shivers down your spine. This album deserves your attention at least once. It gets mine more. New single Joanna was originally released last year on Oddbox Records and whilst this version a bit more polished thankfully it does not lose much of it’s rawness. Indeed Rachel’s voice is stunningly brought to the fore! Joanna is out later this month as a limited edition 7″ single.
