Audiobaton – Wonder

Wonder, the follow up to last October’s Where You Are EP, from Dallas based Audiobaton is another slice of fuzzy noise pop with a few shoegazing tinges here and there. Despite the band coming from across the pond I hear a lot of UK influences on the track especially from bands who were prevalent between 1989-1991 as shoegazing was fading away whilst grunge bands were emerging and the early foundations of Brit-pop were being laid. Audiobaton – Where You Are

Where You Are by Dallas based Audiobaton is a fuzzy, distorted and noisy shoegaze EP. Alongside the obvious strengths that lie within the songs there are plenty of reference points such as Loop, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Darkside and My Bloody Valentine to name but a few. There are also more than a few nods in the direction of drone and to a lesser extent psychedelia.
