This week has seen the first release on Fortuna Pop from the ever wonderful Flowers. The band have signed to Kanine Records stateside so hopefully a US release will follow for fans across the pond. The Flatmates – You Held My Heart

Indiepop legends The Flatmates, albeit with a new line up, release their first single in 23 years on 24th August. Entitled You Held My Heart it’s backed with One Lass Kiss and is available on 7″ via the Archdeacon Of Pop Records. As for that revised line up the band now comprise of original members Martin (guitar) and Rocker (keyboards) as well as newcomers Lisa (vocals), Verity (bass) and Brian (Drums). The Swapsies – Another Game on Saturday​/A Fleeting Summer

It’s the second of the two tracks here that catch my ear on this, the latest release on the February Records Label. The lads played a blinder which of course would be more apt to describe the other track which is about footy.
