I Thought It Was Morning is infectious indiepop doused with diy ethos, politics, punk and a bit of reggae. That is about of much as a review as you are going to get out of me but something about Colour Me Wednesday’s music reminds me of how I felt over half a century ago when I first started getting really excited about music. As the band’s name may suggest this is fuzzy and melodic alt rock. It’s an enjoyable romp across all three songs. The Cocteau Twins-ish cover ain’t bad either. Shortly after these demos were recorded bassist Michael Belcastro suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Whilst the demos are free to download the band are asking for a contribution to be made to assist with his medical bills. A cassette version is on offer for donations of $10 or more.
