Heathers – I Know

Heathers are releasing the tracks they produced for Part Time Punks as part of their annual John Peel celebration last year over on bandcamp. It’s available as a cassette or digitally with the latter being a free download if ya want. I Know features four Wedding Present covers – well three as Getting Nowhere Fast was originally by Girls At Our Best. It’s a popular song as it has also been covered recently by The Fireworks. Gold-Bears – For You

Easter has just improved with the news that Gold-Bears are to release their second album Dalliance on June 3rd via Slumberland Records. Their debut album Are You Falling in Love? was a corker and judging by For You they are continuing in the same vein. Frontman Jeremy Underwood’s vocals are still distinctive as ever and they go well with the fast and furious guitars. If This Poison! were American they would have sounded like this…… Pre-Order Dalliance here. Homepage Facebook Continue reading Gold-Bears – For You

Tyrannosaurus Dead – Greatest Hits

Tyrannosaurus Dead have a compilation of their recordings thus far out now on Oddbox Records. It covers their early self-released effort and cassette releases on the Reeks of Effort label to last years tracks on Bleeding Gold and Oddbox themselves. It’s fine stuff indeed and let’s hope they can maintain the pace they have set themselves. Buy it from the label’s bandcamp page. Facebook Continue reading Tyrannosaurus Dead – Greatest Hits

I am sure I wrote about Heathers previously but that seems not to be the case. Too much music not enough time eh? Visit bandcamp for their previous releases including the rather excellent first single Teenage Clothes. Facebook Continue reading Heathers – Fear

Coach Longlegs – No Dogs At Shows

I have been meaning to jot down some words about Coach Longlegs No Dogs At Shows on Unpop for a month or two now. If it’s shambling lo-fi DIY indiepop you are after then you lend this lot your ears. I love the rawness of this and whilst the novelty may wear off at some point this for the time being is just fun pop rather than Unpop. It’s available as a cassette release for just £2 or pay what you want for it digitally at Unpop. Facebook Continue reading Coach Longlegs – No Dogs At Shows
