Pop! singles club and Volume 1. of The 100 Club Series of 7″ singles. I came across Along Came December whilst delving through the back catalogue of Japanese label Canata Records. I was impressed by the recent EP they (well he as Along Came December is one Glen Jones) released back in June and was going to post about that but then I found out that another EP had been released last month. As the band’s name may suggest this is fuzzy and melodic alt rock. It’s an enjoyable romp across all three songs. The Cocteau Twins-ish cover ain’t bad either. Shortly after these demos were recorded bassist Michael Belcastro suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Whilst the demos are free to download the band are asking for a contribution to be made to assist with his medical bills. A cassette version is on offer for donations of $10 or more.
