Blankenberge – Together

The new single from the Saint Petersburg based Blankenberge see them trying their hand at a love song. It’s a fine shoegaze song combining the intangible voice of Yana Guselnikova whilst the swirling guitars and synths also add a layer of fuzziness to the mix. It’s like a toned down Pinkshinyultrablast in places and like their compatriots music it is also an essential listen if you have a love for all things shoegaze. Most good. The Sweetest Touch – Reminiscence

Razif Mudarsyah Haragi has been recording under The Sweetest Touch moniker for sometime now. He has not lost his love for 1980’s UK indie, in particular Sarah records, just yet as these four songs found on the latest EP Reminiscence testify. The opening three tracks (Solitude, Reminiscence, Tender Heart) are akin to The Sea Urchins more serene moments. These are dreamy melancholy driven tracks that will have the listener drifting off through the clouds.
