A Midweek pack of Three.

Taking stock in the middle of the working week with three tracks from recently released or forthcoming albums.

In The Afterglow – Falling Out Of You

Canadian shoegazers In The Afterglow release their new album Let The Waves Crash Down at the end of this week. Falling Out Of You is the fouth single to be lifted from the album, and like the three previous songs, it’s dreamy stuff, resplendent with ethereal female vocals which regular readers will know I am a sucker for. You can get that album from here.

Strange Passage – Golden Sky

Strange Passage release their new album Folded Sky early next month, although I am not sure if I can call six songs an album. Golden Sky is the second “single” to be taken from the album, and it’s another fine example of their jagged guitar based indiepop. Folded Sky will be released via Meritorio Records on 07 November 2025. Pre-order from here.

Copperplate – Insomnia

I had not heard Copperplate until picking up their amazing double-sided single You Overwhelm Me/Undesirable. The Georgia based dreampop outfit have just released their new album Tangible Sphere which is their third in 15 months. Insomnia is my pick of the bunch – aside from that aforementioned single, which also appears here.

See the comment about Copperplate being an AI project. Manfredi, who writes for the Shoegaze Blog, covers it here – note the page is in Italian.

Tangible Sphere can be purchased from here.
