I have personally felt that The Interpretation Cultures have lost their way somewhat recently with releases covering instrumentals, covers and historical demos. Thankfully they are back on track with their brand new single Shatter.
It’s their most “Sarah Records” sounding release to date but the New Order Brotherhood era guitar sound gives it some diversity. The vocals standout as they spin the tale of melancholy love.
It’s backed with a cover of the The Cat’s Miaow song Aurora and given that no cover will ever improve on the original it is more of a curio than anything else.
Shatter is essential listening though so purchase it from here.
