Japanese shoegazers Kildren have released their first single in exactly a year and it’s the kind of female fronted shoegaze I am a sucker for. The slow burning guitars make for a dark and sometimes haunting spectacle. In places it sounds like a heavier version of Lush resplendent with distortion and the ethereal female voice creates an impression of being bathed by moonlight in a woodland clearing. Lovely!
