Sunny Intervals – I’ve Been Looking Over My Shoulder For Too Long

Has it really been over a decade since we last heard from London based Sunny Intervals? The project of ex-Pocketbooks member Andy Hudson last stepped into view (hearing range?) on 2014’s Step Into Spring album.

Well a new album is now on the way. Titled Swept Away it’s due for release on April 11 2025 and is being preceded by the new single I’ve Been Looking Over My Shoulder For Too Long.

It’s a fine piece of lo-fi indiepop resplendent with a coating of 1960’s retro sounds with Hudson’s vocals sounding much stronger to these ears. If you can imagine dancing around a Dansette in a London town bedsit as the sun starts to set then this one is definitely for you. If you can’t, give it a spin anyway!

You can pre-order Swept Away from here.
