The latest release from chaoticpoprecs is a split between indiepop stalwarts The Silent Love and the relative newcomer Race who appeared last year with the album Half Men, Half Sympathy which saw releases on Faster Records, Subjangle and Chaoticpoprecs themselves.

The Silent Love, aka Ganesha, has been around for a few years now and has seen releases on the likes of TarsiusRecs and Shiny Happy Records. Do I Need Your Answer is a jangling and melodic affair with words and voice that are worn on his sleeve. His love for all things Brighter, The Field Mice, Blueboy etc. certainly ring true on this track.

Addil, who is Race, presents a lovely retro sounding tune in the shape of It Will Remain. Taking influences from various 1980s “scenes” across the globe it sounds as fresh as a daisy and also demonstrates that indiepop has a timeless sound whenever, and where ever, it is made.
