Maidstone’s The Shop Window have announced that their new sixteen track, double and third album Daysdream is due for release next Spring.
It’s A High is the first single to be taken from the said album, and what a vibrant, feel good indie track it is. The joyous words are beautifully supported by some lovely saxophone, rendering the previously effective jangling guitars somewhat redundant as the song draws to a close. A great ending to a very good track.
Joint wordsmith Simon ‘Syd’ Oxlee writes about the words stating that “love can be a bit of a rollercoaster. An adrenaline fuelled ride of twists and turns. It’s frenetic and charged with a heady mix of those moments where you laugh, scream and you want to just get off. It’s about the best highs ever and doing it all whilst holding the hand of ‘that’ someone.”
