I managed to grab some listening time, well not much, on my recent excursion to the Shetland Islands. One track that caught my ear was the second single from London’s The Hazmats, who comprise members of Powerplant, Big Cheese and Chain Of Flowers. To ease myself back in to the writing chair, I will leave the label to describe Skewed View.
It’s “built on an insistent treble heavy jangle guitar and mournful vocals and could easily have been a Sarah Records release. Think a mix of the Field Mice, Sea Urchins and the Mighty Lemon Drops”. Furthermore, they describe the flip side, which is currently unavailable, as having “the same edge, production and hooks of early The Wedding Present and This Poison!”.
Skewed View will be available as a limited white 7″. It can be pre-ordered from the London based label Static Shock.

Sounds great, thanks for sharing!
