Panic Pocket – Mad Half Hour

(Mad Half Hour) “London’s Panic Pocket bring the sound and the style of the female fronted acts who recorded for Cherry Red Records in the early 1980s right bang up to date.”

(Get Me) “Whilst the sound is reminiscent of their contemporaries such as Wet Leg, the video also gives the song a retro feel, such as watching Top of the Pops in the 1980s! Either way, it’s one definitely made for the volume button to be turned right up.”

Mad Half Hour is out now via Skep Wax Records.

Lisasinson – Un Año De Cambios

(Cuchillos) ” it’s another bouncy punk-pop number from the Valencian band who stick to what they know best. Disposable pop fun!”

(No Sé Muy Bien) “What does resonate however, and once I ignore the translated lyrics, is the band’s blend of fuzzy punk/riot grrrl inspired noise pop. That will never fail to entertain these ears despite the band singing “I’m over post punk”. ”

(Mochi) “Like it’s predecessors, the song is packed full of punk-pop influences, with the difference being it errs more towards the poppier, harmonious and melodic side of things. It’s the best single by a country mile”

Un Año De Cambios is out now via Elefant Records.
