The Athens based Youth Valley release their debut album Lullabies For Adults on June 23 2023. Hurricane is the first single to be lifted and given its lyrics give rise to the album’s title that sounds like a wise choice. It’s a jangling indiepop song, with post-punk coasting, which reinforces the band’s self confessed 1980s influences. Those influences are more than apparent when it comes to the maudlin words too, being reminiscent of bands they name check such as The Smiths and The Cure.
