Brisbane’s Babaganouj emerged from half a decade away last November with What Planet Do You Come From?, which was their first single since February 2017’s Clarity Restored EP. Band member Hatchie has been somewhat busy between releases but they have since announced details of a new album titled Jumbo Pets.
It’s been preceded by the album’s second single Stay Up For Me which, and you can dress me up and call me Sally, is one of the catchiest indiepop songs I have heard for a while. If this one with its catchy melodies and infectious hooks does not have you bopping around like you are at your own indie club night then get yourself down to A&E pronto.
Jumbo Pets will be released by Coolin’ By Sound in a range of formats at the end of next month.
