Rangiora’s Best Bets revisit April’s debut album On An Unhistoric Night for their latest single the Minor Leagues. It’s an edited version of the original track shaving well over a minute from the album version making more effective and accessible as a single to these ears. Fusing garage, jangle and power pop it reminds me of “new wave”, the music that followed punk in the UK in the late 1970s, early 1980s. Yep, I remember it well!
