Laveda are one of those bands who pop up on a regular basis in my Bandcamp feed due to friends and contacts buying their songs. To be honest the band have not grabbed me as much as my friends and, given the amount I listen to or purchase, I have not ventured further. That is until now and the release of their latest single Surprise. A surprise? It certainly was thanks to the shimmering, soaring dreampop and upbeat sound that beguiles the melancholy of the words that deal with loss and loneliness.

There are so many bands producing this sort of sound it just takes that one special moment to grab your attention and standout from the crowd. For me the band have done it with this one. Get it from here.
