Brisbane’s Locust Revival was originally the solo project of Steven Schnorrer but the band expanded with the addition of Kelly Schinkel and Matt Deasy. The new Your Delusions Are Not Mine EP features songs that mixes post-punk elements such as goth and darkwave. Musically the EP features heavy early The Cure and Joy Division influences throughout. That’s not a bad starting point!
Tracks such as Ha Ha Hate Club, No Funeral and the EP’s standout track Living in An Age of Hopelessness are dejected and mournful tracks but addictive with it too thanks to the bass driven sound coupled with Schnorrer’s words/voice. A solid post-punk EP if there was one, perfect for melancholic listening where ever you may be. The Your Delusions Are Not Mine EP can be purchased digitally via the band.
