I was taken with April June’s Wish I Could Hate You which I heard via the latest episode of Emmas Housemusic. It was released last month and I noticed that they have released a new single since then. Titled A Vision of You it is even better than the aforementioned track (I know – how is that even possible?) not sounding too far from where Terry Vs Tori are currently standing.

Mind you given they (well one Victoria Zolotukhina who writes and performs under the name) come from the same country this could be one to include in the definite wave of recent Spanish indiepop. Jangling guitars and calm, sometimes ethereal, vocals come together as one whilst the words tell a tale of an unrequited and/or lost love. It’s a glorious-sounding song make no mistake. Recommended with a capital R.
