Sarf East London’s finest The Hannah Barberas are back with a new EP. Titled Fallow Days it features four tracks which were recorded at home during the current lockdown. The EP opens with Out In The Open which jangles itself away whilst W.Y.E is a shambling guitar track that berates “the worst year ever”. The guitars of EP highlight Every Beat of My Heart open in a similar vein to a Railway Children song of almost the same name before becoming an upbeat and driving track with catchy jangling melodies completed by feelgood lyrics. Final track Slow Cooked Boy is a tardy progressing love song (related to their other song Slow Cooked?) that brings the EP to a premature close. I have had worse starts to a weekend!
The Fallow Days EP is available from the band with all proceeds going to the Lewisham Foodbank.
