It’s that time of year again and I thought I would try and list my 10 favourite tracks of 2013. Y’ know the ones that are on constant repeat or the ones that stick in the brain whether it’s due to the vocals, melodies, political content or that they just scream pop at ya. The Salient Braves – Somewhere Sordid EP

The title and lead track on this EP will more than likely to be in my top 10 tracks of the year. Hell the rest of the EP is pretty fine too. It certainly is one of the strongest releases musically I have heard in 2013 coupled with intelligent and witty writing. There is even a decent cover of The Kinks Waterloo Sunset which may give you an idea behind some of main man Matt Bailey’s songwriting influences.
