As promised yesterday here is the second mix for this weekend. This time the mix concentrates on coldwave, post-punk and minimal wave to cover a few genres! As I get older I find myself progressing back to listening to the music in my youth and this mix certainly reminds me of those times. Like You Less – A Records I Like Playlist (September 2017 #1)

Well we are well into the month so it’s about time for a playlist rounding up the various tracks that have been catching my ear via the usual places. That’s not when I have been listening to the new album, The Punishment of Luxury, from Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark which is surprisingly very good. I have also been catching up with 2013’s English Electric which is even better. I think I may have solved the problem of embedded playlists (wordpress.com does not support iframe) but with two steps instead of one. A tip on the wordpress.com support boards got me thinking about having a clickable image which brings up a pop-up player. Records I Like – Songs of 2013 (Part Two 1 – 5)

It’s time for Part two of what has grabbed my ears more than most in 2013 and given this blog has now been going for a year this list is pretty apt! Both The Fireworks and Zipper produce joyous pop moments which remind me why I love indiepop in the first place. Girl One and The Grease Guns have been a revelation and a fourth single in less than a year is due soon. I have always enjoyed reading other peoples end of year lists such as Not Unloved and Trip TV for instance both of which feature choices new to me. I guess that’s why I like lists so much plus it’s also an easy way to generate another Spotify playlist!
