Flowers – Until You’re Dead EP

This week has seen the first release on Fortuna Pop from the ever wonderful Flowers. The band have signed to Kanine Records stateside so hopefully a US release will follow for fans across the pond. Until then buy it here. You can also get it digitally from the likes of Rough Trade. Stuck is the third song from the single and just features singer Rachel singing alone somewhat ethereally with just a one string bass for company. Flowers – Cut & Run

The first post I wrote about Flowers seem to be consistently popular on this site. Since then we (Sleeping Today) have put the band on and I also managed to get my mitts on the Cloudberry 7″ release which is still available if you can afford the US postage charges which make ours look pretty reasonable! I came across these demos by the band Flowers whilst wasting sometime on Bandcamp and they are certainly worth the free download. I don’t know anything about the band although they state on their homepage/facebook page that they are signed to Fortuna Pop. There is also a release on Cloudberry Records coming up and that may be my first purchase from that label for a while.
