This Russian band’s name in English, as google translate assures me, is At The Crest Of The Wave and I guess the artwork confirms that! What we have here are four excellent 1960’s influenced twee/indiepop tracks woven with some fine rock and roll guitar in the style of Duanne Eddy – yes it works! And the singer’s voice is beautiful none more so than on Вода (Water). I was going to compare them to say The Yearning but they are already distinct enough to not warrant that. Give them a listen.
