Gold-Bears – For You

Easter has just improved with the news that Gold-Bears are to release their second album Dalliance on June 3rd via Slumberland Records. Their debut album Are You Falling in Love? was a corker and judging by For You they are continuing in the same vein. Frontman Jeremy Underwood’s vocals are still distinctive as ever and they go well with the fast and furious guitars. If This Poison! were American they would have sounded like this…… Pre-Order Dalliance here. Homepage Facebook Continue reading Gold-Bears – For You

Multiple Man – Guilt Culture

Back in the day when shambling bands were the rage I also enjoyed listening to Industrial/Electronic Body Music and the gloomier the better. Guilt Culture by Multiple Man reminds me of that time. It’s very gothic with a hint of what sounds like Asian influences in the synths towards the end. If you like bands like A Split Second this will be right up your street. Out now on Detonic Recordings Facebook Soundcloud Continue reading Multiple Man – Guilt Culture

The Wendy Darlings – The Insufferable Fatigues of Idleness

I was part of Lostmusic when we released French band The Wendy Darlings début release, the We Come With Friendly Purposes EP back in 2009. I have always felt they are a vastly underated band and if the sparkling indiepop that is Bobby Darin doesn’t at least move you to check the band and/or album out then there is something seriously wrong with you! It’s out on April 14th – pre-order it from the label. … Continue reading The Wendy Darlings – The Insufferable Fatigues of Idleness
